Who are we?

Ecole Idiomas – Instituto de Español is our Spanish school which was constituted in January 2005. We are located in a cozy house in the middle of the Mariscal, the tourist area of Quito, surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants. To all our students we offer classes that are in accordance with their level of Spanish. So whether you would like to learn a bit of Spanish before you go on traveling through South America or you would like to improve your Spanish on a specific subject, we can offer classes that are tailor made to suit your specific needs. All the materials we use in our classes are made by our teachers for all our students on different levels and can therefore be easily adapted to your needs.

Our classes are not only focused on teaching the grammar of the language, but special emphasis is put on the practical use of the language by speaking it in everyday situations. Through this method you will be able to manage yourself in different situation after only four weeks of classes. All our teachers have years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language and will be able to not only teach you the language but also tell you about the difference in culture and customs, by for example taking you to local markets to shop for vegetables.

Our school is officially recognized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education, which permits us to give you an official certificate at the end of your Spanish course.

At Ecole Idiomas you can combine your Spanish classes with volunteer work, internships or travel. Our travel agency, Ecole Travel, can assist you in any plans that you may have while traveling in Ecuador, like a cruise to the Galapagos Islands or a tour to the Jungle. We also offer help with practical matter, like free use of our safe for all our valuables, receiving of mail and luggage storage.
